PFW: elegant dresses and overalls at Guy Laroche

“The key piece is the dress,” Marongiu recently declared of this latest collection. And indeed, the dress was the most heavily recurring item on the runway at today’s show. Short or long, decorated with colored plexiglas or made of silk interwoven with raffia and lurex, with modest crew necks or plunging V-necks, with leather inserts or laser cut motifs: dresses are at the center of this SS15 collection.

There are also a few skirts, most often worn with a shirt buttoned up to the collar. But perhaps the most surprising piece is a pair of overalls, which were structured and chic like the rest of the collection.

In terms of accessories, defying the trend towards flats that seemed to emerge earlier this fashion month, the models wore strappy sandals with stiletto heels.
