Paris Fashion Week: labels, models and observers to follow on Twitter
In an age in which news travels more quickly than ever before, Twitter offers something of a perfect compromise. Almost everyone in the fashion industry has an account, and many labels use the social network to release exclusive content such as photos and videos, making it an essential platform for style fans.
In honor of fashion week, Twitter has even opened a special account, @TwitterFashion, dedicated to relaying news from the event. Of course, Twitter users can also filter the news feed by searching for certain hashtags, and #PFW is bound to be among the most used and most searched this week.
Following certain labels and models is one way to get an insider’s perspective on the happenings in Paris. Among the brands that stand out on the social network are @KarlLagerfeld, who needs no introduction, @JPGaultier, who will soon present his last ready-to-wear collection, and @Dior, which promises to deliver yet another beautiful runway show this season.
In terms of models, fans can follow @Caradelevingne, the British supermodel of the moment, @missjourdandunn, the Maybelline spokesperson who is shaking things up in the fashion world, and @KendallJenner, who might just take us backstage at Balmain and Givenchy.
Finally, there are plenty of VIP guests, journalists and bloggers who will also be tweeting from the event. Among the ones to follow are @alexa_chung, the English it-girl and Longchamp spokesmodel, and @TheRealOliviaP (Olivia Palermo), the socialite known for her flawless style sense.
Not to forget the fashion journalists @garancedore and the world’s most Parisian fashion icon, Ines de la Fressange (@lafressange).
