New magazine launching for Paris couture week
Titled Paris Haute, the new highbrow title will be launched to accompany the city’s famed haute couture schedule. A fresh new daily, in tabloid format and printed on matte paper, the English/French publication will examine the latest couture trends over eight pages (including two sides of advertising).
“We are targeting the international traveler but also those Parisians who don’t necessarily have a ticket to one of the shows but are nevertheless interested in the savoir-faire and what is going on in the big couture houses,” editor in chief Laurence Benaïm told WWD.
Ten thousand free copies will be distributed each day between July 1 and 5. Produced by Stiletto Editions and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, the paper will feature a cocktail of interviews, news and behind-the-scenes action designed to shed new light on the exclusive haute couture experience.
Don’t fret if you won’t be in the French capital during the shows: the magazine will also be published online via the Mode-à-Paris website.
