Marco Zanini exits Schiaparelli
In charge of haute couture and “prêt-à-couture” collections at Schiaparelli since September 2013, Marco Zanini will now move on to new horizons.
In a statement released on Friday, November 7, the iconic fashion house says it is “looking towards its future while transcending the aesthetic codes created by Elsa Schiaparelli. It follows a dynamic where a contemporary spirit meets its founder’s daring personality.”
Rumors on the departure had been swirling for a few days before the official confirmation Friday. The House of Schiaparelli also indicated that it will announce its new creative director in the near future.
Before Zanini came on board, Christian Lacroix paid homage to the Schiaparelli legacy with a special haute couture collection in July 2013.
