In the mood of Ole Yde: "Audrey Hepburn is my ideal woman to dress"
Relaxnews: Which famous person – living or dead, historical or contemporary – would look best in this new collection?
Ole Yde: Audrey Hepburn who’s always been my ideal woman to dress.
R: Where were you when you found the inspiration for this collection? What was the eureka moment?
OY: I was at home listening to old records and got deeply touched by a Billie Holiday song, “Life Begins When You’re in Love.”
R: If you had to choose just one piece from this collection to represent it, which one would it be?
OY: The little white dress that ends the show.
R: Rihanna is becoming a real style icon. Could she be a muse or a spokesmodel for your label, and if so what outfit would you dress her in?
OY: Of course she could, she plays with many different looks. In general, what I like about seeing my clothes on people is to see their personality shine through and I think she has an interesting one. I’d put her in blue and gold brocade pants and matching top.
R: Which designers have inspired you in the past, and who inspires you today?
OY: It has been and always will be Yves Saint Laurent.
R: What do you dislike about the world of fashion?
OY: People who take themselves too seriously and all the politics that go on behind the scene.
