Fashion films of the week: Louis Vuitton, Rick Owens, House of Versace
Louis Vuitton
Upcoming British artist and filmmaker Quentin Jones (who has previously worked with Victoria Beckham, Kenzo and Vogue) collaborated with Louis Vuitton on this magnificent minute-long clip. Jones uses music, film and graphics to celebrate the new Fall/Winter Women’s accessories collection by the Parisian brand.
Rick Owens
Rick Owens shook up fashion week with his women’s ready-to-wear show entitled “Vicious”: the designer sent out a step team dressed in his latest clothes instead of models at the Bercy location, and soundtracked their fierce moves with music by Byetone.
House of Versace
A made-for-TV melodrama, “House of Versace” looks like it’s set to become a cult classic after it premieres this Saturday on US network Lifetime. Starring actress Gina Gershon as Donatella, who gets to utter lines like “I was always crazy, even before the drugs” in an accent pitched somewhere between Vicenza and Vladivostok, we can’t wait to see the full film.
