毡制品是一种用紧密哑光纤维制成的非常密实的布料，通常来说是羊毛制的，但有时也有用其它动物毛发纤维或者人造纤维混合的纤维制成的。毡制品既不是针织品也不是纺织品，因此它没有连续的纹理。毡制品是用过加热、加湿和挤压纤维从而使纤维缠在一起而制成的。最终结果就是这种面料不会磨损也没有弹性。它常勇于帽子、外套和拖鞋的制作。
