毛细条纹是可用的最细的条纹类型，这种条纹的直径通常和人类毛发相同，所以得名毛细条纹，这种条纹的走向可以是水平的、垂直的又会是对角的。因为条纹的宽度太细，所以一般会有多于一条条纹重叠在一起创造出更醒目的图案。这种花样可以用彩色的经线或纬线通过色织实现。
