Karen Millen celebrates young stars in ‘No More Tiaras’
Karen Millen’s “No More Tiaras” stars a bevy of emerging actresses in the form of Dylan Penn, Langley Fox Hemingway, Stephanie LaCava and Adwoa Aboah.
An artist and occasional model, Langley is of course the sister of actress and model Dree Hemingway, herself the face of fragrances for Paco Rabanne and Salvatore Ferragamo, who was also announced as the global ambassador for Cole Haan earlier in the year.
Twenty-three-year-old Penn is the daughter of two-time Oscar winning actor Sean Penn and fellow thespian Robin Wright, while LaCava is a New York City and Paris-based writer and model. Twenty-one-year-old model and it-girl Adwoa Aboah rounds out the cast.
The director herself has an interesting artistic lineage. The daughter of Bill Nighy and Diana Quick, she followed her parents into the family trade which saw her appear in Sofia Coppola’s “Marie-Antoinette,” before moving into filmmaking for clients including Vogue.
The beauty-contest-with-a-twist film was commissioned to celebrate the opening of two new flagship stores for the brand located on the Brompton Road in London and on 5th Avenue in New York City. It will launch on the Karen Millen site on May 14.
