Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop collection revealed
The collection which ranges in price from £4 (approximately $6.50) for the socks, up to £750 (approximately $1200) for the Mongolian jacket, is packed with contrasting textures and bright, clashing colors as well as plenty of cherry-themed rock-and-roll references.
According to the designers, the collection “was inspired by the idea of a band or a gang which we named ‘The Cherrys’. The overall aesthetic was influenced by Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids, Kembra Pfahler and glam rock,” explained Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff.
Launching on November 21, the line will be available online, at Topshop’s Oxford Circus and Selfridges locations, and at a range of selected international Topshop stores in Hong Kong, Russia, New York, Los Angeles, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, Australia, Kuwait, UAE, Canada and Brazil.
Kate Phelan, the retailer’s creative director expected the line to be a hit with the store’s customers: “Ben and Ed have been captivating a global fashion audience at LFW for over 10 years. This collection of Cherries will inspire and delight.”
Topshop has previously collaborated with designers including JW Anderson and Mary Katrantzou, and recently announced the revival of their hugely popular Kate Moss collection.
