London Collections: Men kicks off with parties, openings and teasers
Dolce & Gabbana
The Italian design duo opened their new store in London and showed off a Summer 2014 tailoring collection at the famous Claridge’s Hotel in the city’s West End. With Kylie Minogue and Sir Paul Smith in attendance, suprise highlights included a Dolce & Gabbana Duke and Duchess of Cambridge print t-shirt by LA street artist Mr Brainwash.
Elton & David
Elton John and David Furnish hosted a party for the great and the good at their home outside of London. Guests inlcuding Net-a-Porter.com boss Nathalie Massenet, male model David Gandy and Tommy Hilfiger were ferried to the rockstar’s home, where young Irish rhythm and blues band The Strypes, recently signed to Elton’s record label, played a set to the fashionista crowd.
Burberry
The London brand has unveiled a range of digital delights ahead of its show Tuesday afternoon, which will be livestreamed at 2pm London time. Celebrating the return of the label to London (previously Burberry showed their menswear off in Milan), they’ve released a short film as well as Vine previews of the latest accessories. Fans of the brand will also be able to order personalized coats and accessories straight after the show with the brand’s Runway Made to Order service.
