How Much Time Is Sensible to Be Spending on Your Beauty Routine?

Posted on

You may be wondering how much time is enough when it comes to your skincare routine, but that is a question that is dependent on your skin, not what is «normal» for someone else. Everyone has different skin, there is the dry, the oily, the normal, and the combination types. Not to mention those with sensitive and acne-prone skin.

Many individuals rely on a walk-in Botox clinic to help maintain their youthful look when it comes to their skin. Here is an estimated time and type of care for various skin types.

Normal Skin

To begin with, there is a small percentage of individuals that have skin that is considered «normal» by industry standards. This means the skin on their face is not too dry, not oily, and not sensitive to different weather conditions or products.

For this type of skin, there is not a lot to do, so spending a minimal amount of time on a skincare routine is acceptable. Perhaps once a week they could use a deep cleaning mask, but for everyday care, a simple cleanser and moisturizer are best.

Dry Skin

To care for dry skin, you will need to adjust a few of your daily routines to accommodate dry skin. Bathing or showering needs to be reduced in both time and temperature. Only stay in the water between 5 and 10 minutes and reduce the hot water to warm. You will also need to dry your skin as soon as you exit the bath. And then, immediately put moisturizer all over your body. Use a special face lotion for dry skin and another special one for your body. This type of skin regiment may take a bit longer, but it is worth it to keep your skin from becoming overly dry and flaking which can lead to itching and scaring from open wounds.

Oily Skin

Use specific products that are created for oily skin. They help with cleaning your skin without stripping it of natural moisturizers and creating a barrier for the oil. You will need to use a blotting cloth several times a day to control oil, and use makeup that is also designed for oily skin.

Resist the urge to wash your face too much. This will lead to drying and other issues. If you can, go without make up more than you go with a foundation cover. It is better for oil control. Leaving the makeup off will cut your skincare time by a considerable amount.

Combination Skin

This type of skin is referenced as an oiler in the «T-zone» which is the bottom half of the forehead, down the nose, and under the lips to the tip of the chin. And then the dry patches are on the top of the forehead as well as the cheeks.

Caring for combination skin takes more time than the others because you may need to use several different products if you cannot locate one that works on all areas of your face.

Remember, for all types of skin, take care of it. Wash your face daily and use sunscreen to protect it from the elements. This is the least and best you can do to keep your skin healthy for all of your years.
