Olympia Le-Tan to open debut store
According to WWD, Olympia Le-Tan’s debut store will be unveiled Friday behind the Palais Royal at the Passage des Deux-Pavillons.
«It’s going to be like a doll house,» she explained. «I’ve had my eyes on the building for six years — it used to be an antiques shop which belonged to friends.»
The designer roped in her illustrator father Pierre Le Tan to design the monogram-printed fabric on the pink walls (he also does the prints for her collections). Other interior touches include racks designed by Aussie creative dynamo Marc Newson, which will fill the 485-square-foot (45 square meter) space along with bespoke carpets and a variety of furniture.
The store will stock all of Le-Tan’s ready-to-wear for women on the ground floor, with accessories upstairs.
Look out for more collaborations, like this year’s Disney capsule collection, in the future, as well as potential new openings in London and Tokyo in 2015, and New York and Los Angeles in 2016.
