Tokyo Fashion Week: highlights from the weekend
House of Holland
British designer Henry Holland has already shown his Spring/Summer 2015 House of Holland collection, but as the London winner of DHL’s Exported prize, the designer was also given the opportunity to stage a show in Tokyo. His 1960s florals were bang on-trend for this season’s retromania in Japan.
Onitsuka Tiger and Andrea Pompilio
Italian designer Andrea Pompilio has had a busy year. As well as his namesake label, he’s also presented a collection with Canali, and now worked with footwear specialists Onitsuka Tiger on this sporty black and white capsule for men and women. The jersey and denim pieces arrived with bright embellishments and cool backpacks, alongside plenty of the brand’s sneakers.
Sretsis
Thai designer Pim Sukhahuta’s latest collection for Spring/Summer 2015 was a colorful affair with mermaid prints, glam rock platform heels, ruffled prom dresses, and loads of light and playful musical themed jackets. The brand also showed off motorbike helmets with rollerskate motifs, while models wore Ziggy Stardust-style lightning flash makeup.
