Subtly sleek at Narciso Rodriguez Pre-Fall 2015

The double-faced garments told the two sides of the story here; clean and restrained lines, balanced with a sense of lightness and warmth (and a touch of color).  

Key pieces included a felted wool coat dress, leather tops and dresses, and some stunning eveningwear including a beautiful black jumpsuit. Beyond the monochromes, color was limited to a soft candy pink and a pale salad-dressing yellow (think mustard and lemon). It came in wide horizontal bands or in smooth abstract splashes, and the touches of eye-catching embellishment were in black. 

Footwear options were focused on minimalist mules with a point-toe, which matched the boxy modernism of the accessories.
