New H&M capsule collection by Eddy Anemian
H&M will sell Anemian’s prize-winning collection, which was inspired by Tilda Swinton’s character in “I am Love” and the work of French painter Ingres.
Featuring florals cut and then resewn into abstract, glitchy patterns, horizontal and vertical strips of fabric, as well as contrasting white pieces including a jumpsuit and pants and a black twill top, the collection will hit select H&M stores and online on October 23.
“Eddy’s winning collection was breathtaking,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, the company’s Head of Design. “Everyone at H&M has enjoyed working with Eddy to bring his exceptional work to a wider audience.”
Launched in 2012 the H&M Design Award was created to help support emerging fashion talent (Anemian has just finished his final year at La Cambre, the Brussels-based fashion school). Previous winners Stine Riis (2012) and Minju Kim (2013) have gone on to work with Surface to Air and Opening Ceremony respectively.
