Amidst technology companies, such as Apple, Microsoft and Google, Louis Vuitton was the only luxury fashion brand to reach the top 20 of Forbes’ The World’s Most Valuable Brands. Coming in at number 14, the brand triumphed over BMW, Nike and Wal-Mart.

Nicholas Ghesquière, creative director of Louis Vuitton, was credited by luxury brand conglomerate LVMH, for aiding the 3 percent growth in the brand’s revenue in 2014. Ghesquière’s runway shows and the introduction of new products has boosted the sales of this designer fashion label.

The only other fashion retailer to come close was the Swedish high street brand H&M, which was ranked at number 33, 19 places after Louis Vuitton.

Other fashion labels that made the top 100 list were Hermes at 51, Cartier at 55, Zara at 58, Coach at 63, Rolex at 65, Prada at 74, Chanel at 85, and Ralph Lauren at 89.
