London Collections: Men: looks from day 2
Margaret Howell
The veteran designer stuck tight to her usual remit: a refined, retro take on workwear and suiting. There was plenty of linen, and trousers came both cropped and cuffed (especially with suiting) and more voluminous, with sweaters and shirts tucked into the waistband.
Jimmy Choo
Creative director Sandra Choi showed off the luxury brand’s latest men’s styles on a Chinatown-themed set inside London’s County Hall. Key models include spray-painted single-monkstraps, crocodile effect boat shoes and slick brogues.
Alexander McQueen
Sarah Burton’s Spring-Summer 2015 looks mixed layers of curvaceous abstract shapes in a range of colors, all underpinned by the brand’s usual sharp tailoring. Models wore a mix of pointy creeper-style shoes as well as all-white tennis sneakers.
Moschino
Jeremy Scott’s first men’s collection for the Italian label took the audience on a rave-tastic retro spin back to the 1990s heyday of the brand. The American designer’s prints riffed on junk food and soda packaging, smileys, flags of the world, and fellow fashion labels’ signature motifs.
