Florence Welch releases jewelry line
The new Flotique line is available on Florence’s website, which also sells a range of other branded clothing and accessories.
The 26-year-old pop star has released a new capsule collection of jewelry designed to complement her second album with Florence and the Machine, “Ceremonials.”
The silver and gold plated designs retail from $33 to $82.50. Pieces include earrings, bracelets and a birdcage ring that echoes Florence’s own finger tattoo. The designs are inspired by the typography and styling on the “Ceremonials” front cover.
Famed for her love of Gucci gowns and vintage pieces, Florence is a regular fashion fan and is also friends with London jeweler Dominic Jones, who broke through in 2009 when his spiky, punky metallic pieces were picked up by Anna Wintour of Vogue.
Florence isn’t the only singer to get in on the jewelry act. In November 2012 pop star Ke$ha announced she would be working with Charles Albert for a collaborative line called Kesha Rose By Charles Albert. Set to hit stores later this year, the pieces will sell for $30 to $750.
