Disney themes get quirky fashion reworking in Wood Wood line
Wood Wood has taken the classic Disney character Mickey Mouse and stretched and distorted him like he’s visited a house of mirrors for a series of prints inspired by the cartoons of the 1920s and 1930s.
The motif is picked up on men’s and women’s printed shirts, t-shirts and sweats. The girls also get pieces including knit bombers, skirts and double layer dresses, while the men’s looks include intarsia knitted sweaters. There are also some unisex baseball caps, beanies and tote bags.
The collection is already available exclusively at Colette in Paris, and will launch worldwide on November 3 with select retailers including Liberty, Mytheresa, and SPRMRKT as well as all Wood Wood stores. Earlier this fall Disney teamed up with French brand Paul & Joe Sister to celebrate the 1970 classic “The Aristocats.”
