David Beckham’s mystery body double
The Paris Saint-Germain footballer’s derrière was all over the internet this week as the short film directed by Guy Ritchie to promote the latest collection of David Beckham Bodywear went viral.
The film, released on February 6, has already been viewed nearly 3.3 million times and sees the 37-year-old sports and fashion icon racing through suburban LA in his underwear.
But before long, questions were raised by especially attentive viewers, who noticed a few shifting tattoos on Beckham’s body and a pair of strangely thick thighs. This all came as something of a surprise, especially as David had apparently embraced his new action man role: “working with Guy has been a dream come true,” said the star.
He didn’t manage all of his own stunts though. With a busy soccer season ahead, it is perhaps expected that he couldn’t risk any injuries, and therefore sat out some of the more demanding shots. “David was very involved in the advert including doing most of the stunts. Due to the tightness of his schedule a body double was used in smaller parts of the video,” an H&M spokesman confirmed to The Times.
But what of the Beckham buns? The player’s biggest fans will be pleased to know that his newly famous rear was authentic. Can you spot the real David Beckham from the fake in the video?
