Brigitte Comazzi Duval named creative director at Gerard Darel
A graduate of the prestigious Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in France, Brigitte Comazzi Duval got her start as a designer for French ready-to wear brand Kookaï and as head of the styling department at Etam. After three years as a consultant and stylist for Marks & Spencer and Cyrillus, she became the creative director at Comptoir des Cotonniers, where she spent six years. For the past two years, she has been design director at Tara Jarmon & Bal Edition.
Brigitte Comazzi Duval will take over the creative direction of women’s ready-to-wear brand Gerard Darel from Camille Naim.
“I am happy to join the Darel design house because in my eyes it is a true institution with a studio, a creative workshop and real savoir-faire. While maintaining its Rive Gauche spirit and this nice mix between modernity and tradition, I aim to renew the brand’s image by bringing in more femininity, more boldness, more freshness,” said the designer.
