Barbour x Adidas Originals line launching next month

The new clothing and footwear capsule is based around three key themes: ‘country’, ‘spectator’ and ‘military’. Jackets and sneakers are designed both as standalone pieces and to be matched up.

“Both brands share a rich heritage, long history and dedication to deliver premium products which was driving both teams through the creation process,” explained Adidas Originals’ Daniel Bauer.

The ‘country’ theme includes a classic Barbour Beaufort jacket shape with some new contemporary touches including leather trim detailing, and a pair of Adidas TS runners with waxed cotton touches. ‘Spectator’ mixes the two labels’ association with different sports over four pieces: the ZX555 and CLMBA footwear options, and the Roubarb quilted jacket and Johbar wax jacket. Last but not least, the ‘military’ story features a Baradi jacket inspired by a custom piece created for a captain in the British army during the Falklands War, and a GSG9 boot in nappa leather and waxed fabric. 

The collection will arrive in a selection of Adidas and Barbour stockists from early next month.
