Agent Provocateur’s powerful new film for Autumn/Winter 2013
Agent Provocateur have released a stunning new campaign film for Autumn/Winter 2013. A witty and empowering look at a fictional fashion show, the three and a half minute clip shows three girls who aren’t afraid to stand up for themselves.
Director John Cameron Mitchell picked an interesting cast for the short. A former star of Australian TV soap “Home & Away”, Melissa George has also appeared in the David Lynch classic “Mulholland Drive,” while brunette model and actress Elettra Wiedemann is the daughter of Isabella Rossellini (who has also famously worked with Lynch). Blonde English model Chloe Hayward (a former face of Topshop) rounds out the trio.
Soundtracked by “Total Control” by Los Angeles-based New Wave stars The Motels, the film pokes fun at the trussed-up world of high fashion (with a knowing nod to Will Ferrell’s Mugatu character from “Zoolander”), and shows off the power of love.
A highly regarded director (and well known for exploring LGBT themes), John Cameron Mitchell was behind 2010 indie hit “Rabbit Hole”, which starred Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. He also wrote, directed and starred in the Golden Globe-nominated rock opera “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”
