Edward Enninful named editor-in-chief of British Vogue

Edward Enninful has been named Editor-in-chief of British Vogue. He will start his new role on 1 August 2017. He succeeds Alexandra Shulman who held the position for twenty-five years before her departure in January.

Condé Nast International chairman and chief executive said: “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Edward Enninful, OBE, as Editor of British Vogue effective August 1, 2017.”

Appointed at age 18 as i-D magazine’s fashion director, Enninful would go on to work with Vogue America and Vogue Italia. In fact, he was behind Vogue Italia’s “Black Issue” which was a huge success.

Edward Enninful was awarded an OBE in 2016 for services to diversity in the fashion industry.
