Gap embraces Pinterest GIFs

On January 21 social media site Pinterest announced that it would be supporting GIFs, in a blog post.

As usual Gap was the first major brand to react, posting a cool, slightly trippy GIF, promoting the brand in moving images. Users are also in control of whether the GIF is playing or paused, just in case anyone gets disorientated by all the flashing imagery.

Last summer the San Francisco-based fashion label was also one of the first brands to take advantage when social network Instagram added a video feature, posting a crossword-inspired video. Marc Jacobs, Burberry and Diane Von Furstenberg were three of the other fashion brands that also jumped on promotional bandwagon.
