Gap limited edition T-shirts to mark Jimi Hendrix’s 70th birthday

The legendary musician, widely regarded as one of the best guitarists of all time, would, had he survived past his 27th birthday, be celebrating his 70th birthday on November 27, 2013.

In honor of this occasion Gap is launching a range of two limited edition T-shirt designs online at Gap.com. The T-shirts will be available to buy online from March 5 for around $29.95 and will hit US stores on March 15. The designs will reach select stores in the UK, France, Italy, Japan and China from “late March.”

The launch of the T-shirts by Gap coincides with the release of a new album of previously unreleased studio material by Hendrix, titled “People, Hell and Angels,” which drops on March 5.
