Watch: Prada’s new Resort 2014 film
Set to the mysterious piano soundtrack of « Daydreaming » by Minneapolis band Dark Dark Dark, the short film shows off the dark yet colorful aesthetic of Steven Meisel’s latest Prada campaign, themed around « the twilight of an anti-paradise » according to the Italian luxury label.
As usual, creative director Miuccia Prada picked out some interesting girls to show off the line. The film features American model (and part-time X-ray technician) Amanda Murphy, German-born Anna Ewers (who’s shooting up the popularity charts this year with her Brigitte Bardot meets Claudia Schiffer looks) and Columbia University-educated model and activist Cameron Russell.
The Resort video follows Prada’s last cinematic adventure, a Wes Anderson-directed short film starring Jason Schwartzman as an American race-car driver in 1950s Italy, titled « Castello Cavalcanti. »
