Stella McCartney releases charity T-shirt line for War Child UK

Posted on

Stella McCartney has released two t-shirt designs to raise money and awareness for War Child UK, a charity that provides support for children in countries affected by war.

The designs are inspired by the children’s drawings from the « Draw Me to Safety » art project, launched by Stella McCartney and Angelina Jolie. This project was open to 8-15 year old children in the UK, to provide drawings answering the question, « What makes you feel safe? » The competition began on 22nd September 2015 and is now closed.

“The money raised goes to an extraordinary cause that is really important and really needed. I am hoping that the t-shirt will raise awareness to that and it will make people understand that there is terrible suffering and we can do something, we can help”, stated McCartney.

The t-shirts are available in women’s and children’s sizes. The adult version retails for £70 and is available for a limited period at www.stellamccartney.com
