G-Star RAW and Pharrell unveil Spring/Summer 2015 collaboration in New York City

The collaboration between Pharrell and G-Star RAW, designed to fight ocean plastic pollution through innovation, is continuing for another season. 

This weekend in New York City, models presented the Spring/Summer 2015 pieces alongside Pharrell, who co-designed the collection with the G-Star RAW teams. 

Guests invited to the launch event were treated to fluid projections at the 23 Wall Street venue, with pieces also presented inside custom-built aquariums that magnified the fabrics, including the Bionic Yarn denim made with recycled ocean plastics.

« Denim is one of the most cherished fabrics on Earth — and one of the most traditional. With RAW for the Oceans we have created the next generation. » explained Pharrell. 

Musical accompaniment was provided by Kraftwerk founding member Florian Schneider. The first RAW for the Oceans collection for Fall/Winter 2014 hit stores and online on September 6.
