Sydney fashion week: looks from day 3
Lan Yu
Stunning satin bridal looks, some presented on models, others on mannequins, all arranged in the round. The young Chinese designer mixed sheer panels, pearly embellishment and twists of fabric with long veiled headdresses.
Suboo
The Sydney-based label went with this season’s key trends of minimalist sportswear and floral prints, alongside a laser-cut honeycomb motif. Swimwear and dresses came with cut-out details, and the models rocked flat sandals and sun visors.
Jayson Brunsdon
Brunsdon showed bags of shimmering metallics (think bronze, copper, blue and forest green) in lurex and brocade form, fruit and palm prints, and lots of sequins. Models arrived on the runway with tropical rainstorm wet hair.
Gabriel Lee
The South Korean-born designer was inspired by missing children reports from 17th century Spain, but kept the tone light with sporty oversized outerwear covered in pearls and horticultural prints. Accessories included matching print caps and bags.
