Carla Bruni returns to modelling — for jewelry brand Bulgari
Forty-five-year-old Carla Bruni is reportedly set to make a return to the world of high fashion. A number of sources are reporting that the former French first lady has been photographed by Terry Richardson for a new haute joaillerie campaign for Rome-based luxury brand Bulgari.
Italian-born Bruni was one of the biggest stars of the runway in the 1990s, working with designers including Givenchy, Chanel, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, and dating rock stars Eric Clapton and Mick Jagger. She then moved into the world of pop music, releasing three studio albums between 2003 and 2008.
After marrying former French president Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008 she took a break from the music industry, by her newest record « Little French Songs » is set to be released on April 1. According to WWD, the Bulgari campaign « will break in the second half of the year. »
Previous faces of the Bulgari brand include actresses Julianne Moore and Rachel Weisz, who starred in the 2012 video for the Serpenti collection, directed by Annie Leibovitz.
