Roberto Cavalli creates charity ballgown with Cirque du Soleil for World Water Day
The event, sponsored by luxury car company Lamborghini and the MGM Resorts group, will take place later this month at the famous Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas to celebrate World Water Day. The Cavalli gown will be featured in the ‘Africa’ section of the spectacle, which is also set to show off « superstar surprise performances. »
Founded by in 2007 by Canadian entrepreneur Guy Laliberté (who started as a street performer before going on to create the international circus extravaganza Cirque du Soleil), the One Drop association aims to fight poverty by ensuring access to water for all.
World Water Day, was established by the United Nations in 1993, and is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. ‘One Night for One Drop’ will be held Friday, March 22 with support from Prince Albert of Monaco and Oscar-winning director James Cameron.
One Drop will also be streaming a 90-minute online special broadcast of the event for €5 (pre-order before March 25) here. All proceeds will go to the charity.
