Gucci Westman Leaves Revlon After 7 Years
It has been announced that later on this month, beauty brand Revlon’s creative director is set to leave the company after 7 years – her role has revolved the creation of distinct, trendsetting looks at the likes of Rag & Bone, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta and many more over various Fashion Weeks.
Women’s Wear Daily and Fashionista reported and confirmed that this change will mark a huge turning point for the brand, as the director’s strong industry relationships were a key aspect of the branding and mass-market adoption if the cosmetics collection, aiding them to stay relevant and challenge competing brands such as MAC, Illamasqua and Nars – all of which also sponsor Fashion Weeks. Since joining the company in 2008, Gucci Westman has been an instrumental player within the development of seasonal colour stories along with new product development.
There has so far been no talk of her future directions or options for replacements.
