Versace
Versace Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 – Donatella Versace did not disappoint this year and sent a subtle colour pallet down the runway with the exception of cobalt blue and signaling red. These two colours stood out the most against the monochrome trend this season.
The beginning of the show relied on clean cuts and fits, surprisingly. Each two-pieced suit and maxi dress played with feminine silhouettes and curved hems to ensure couture standards were met. Even the thigh high splits could be considered “curvy”.
Besides the minimalistic start Atelier Versace did eventually feature beading on this years catwalk and it was definitely worth the wait.
The 60s style mini dresses featured embellished emjoi’s and racy knee-high boots, adding a youthful look to a somewhat classic collection.
However the winner for me was the show stopping jumpsuit constructed with fishtail flares and clean finishes, instantly creating an 80s must have trend before the show had even concluded.
