Valentino
Valentino Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2017 – Valentino’s nude palette emanates breathtaking composure and ease. Long, drop down shapes in the dresses, seen in the utilization of maxi skirts and long sleeves, elongate the human form to a rippling, effortless height. Employing a minimalistic use of print, the neutral colours of the pieces themselves seem to extend the female silhouette; splashes of occasional colours are artistic and scarce, although occasional beautiful deep reds and pinks provide striking contrast to the nymphet ethereality of white and cream. High necks are prevalent throughout the collection, although sheer fabric and silk works to add diversity. The models themselves work also to epitomize the natural beauty promoted by the collection, with fresh skin, nude lips and minimalistic eye makeup.
