Prabal Gurung
Spring-Summer 2015 – This season Prabal Gurung seems to be heading back towards his traditional use of busy prints and busy silhouettes, but while also keeping an essence of the more refined look that Gurung has been edging in over the past couple seasons.
A smorgasbord of both busy and quiet, colours ranging from clean white to oceanic aqua and turquoise, to bright pops of knitted pink and orange, all adorned a variety of garments from ruffled skirts and dresses, to tailored jackets and activewear.
A clear development has been shown, where Gurung has managed to combine his love for energetic and lively prints and fabric manipulation, with a more smooth silhouette and constructed form. Whilst seeming quite disconnected, the overriding sense of a refined femininity runs throughout giving the collection a strangely fantastic seamlessness.
