House of Holland
Spring-Summer 2015 – After seeing the House of Holland’s Spring 2015 collection, I think that it’s safe to say that the Flower Power is back, as is 1960s fashion. House of Holland presented us with A-line mini-skirts, clashing prints and psychedelic colour galore, with the outfits being brought together with high-heeled sandals in an array of colours and dusty pink ankle boots.
An especially noticeable aspect of the designs was the matching and clashing of patters, with floral suits being clashed with a floral-patterned shirt, and matching handbags and jackets being clashed with a floral mini-dress. The collection embraced the idea of pushing boundaries, being bold, and accepting the kaleidoscopic nature of 60s fashion into the modern era.
Hair was worn loose in a severe side parting, with models wearing metallic eye-shadow, and liquid eyeliner with a typical 60s flick. In addition, the House of Holland added even more vibrancy in colour to the collection, with models revealing pink nail art.
