Diesel Black Gold

Spring-Summer 2015 – “Studs, stars, and a wearable tech breakthrough” is how Diesel Black Gold describe their SS15 collection. Whilst revealing a wearable fashion watch, their decidedly irreverent rock glam aesthetic star prints that in any other show would have been tacky, but placed within this particular aesthetic context it really works.

Black and white pieces sprinkled with stud and sequin details fall away into very wearable lilac and red skirt and blouse combinations again with the selective use of studs to link everything cohesively. Studs, stars, leather separates and on trend high necks, high waists and top layering all combine with simple silhouettes with complex details and an obvious focus on bringing zany and colourful prints to the fore mean the collection was a breath of fresh air and a fun, edgy and sleek take on the trends.
