Hussein Chalayan

Spring/Summer 2015 – Chalayan’s S/S15 is based on a balanced elegance, combining references from different sources: menswear; Fifties style silhouettes and hats; aviation glasses and military camouflage totally reinvented in such a way that the inspirations are completely renovated.

In the colour palette we can see once again a large use of black and white together with sky blue, juxtapositions of red and green and colourful prints played on tones of orange, grey, olive green and blue.

The collection is characterized by layers of soft and large garments combined with classic tailored pieces. Prints and decorations play a key role to build a unique set of clothes, going from abstract and geometric motifs to more figurative images like trees and full-figured women with chadors.
