Spring-Summer 2014– Gianfranco Ferre has to be one of the highlights of Milan fashion week, it represents the cities well known slick dressing to a polished perfection. The collection for spring/summer was utterly stunning from start to finish with sculptural and origami influences on the silhouettes. The colour palette was monochrome with a running under tone of caramel cream and a burst of neon green and blue. Pieces were deconstructed, draped, pleated, cut above the knee and below with thigh slashing dresses, which are going to look a dream on the red carpet.

Each pieces was technically done to perfection and although what should seem a ridged piece they were fluid in beautiful silks and satins and were teamed with belts throughout the collection. Although not a hard-hitting collection to what we have seen so far in Milan this collection is a timeless one and one which works with the body, which is what we all want.
