Spring – Summer 2014 – Dolce & Gabbana hit the Italian spot once more and never fail to do so, regardless what issues they have in the press, this collection got us wanting to book a flight to Rome and search for gold coins. As always we are never let down by a good print with the guys, they’re over exaggerated print work and use of colours never fails them and they certainly know how to get a woman noticed in a crowd.
The colour pallet was a richness of gold tones with burst of that Sicilian red in contrast with the black and gold belts. We saw prints of Muriel’s, coins and applique floral motifs all teamed on figure hugging and floating structured silhouettes. It is hard to pick key favourites in this collection when you have gold embellished dresses mixed with fur tops and beautiful black dresses. One thing is for sure, no matter what is happening at Dolce & Gabbana, they will always remained focused on seducing the way women dress.
