Alberta Ferretti
Spring-Summer 2014 – Young, Fresh, Vibrant and a mixture of traditional culture meets runway master, Alberta Ferretti has most definitely had the summer Italian sun on her mind for the coming season. The collection oozes the brands key thread of femininity whilst remaining to use textures and chiffons creating sexy but daring pieces. The mix of the dark sexual Italian woman who’s silhouettes are figure hugging yet daring with the cut always using sheer fabrics to almost tantalise the opposed eye, Carine Roitfeld should own these said pieces. You instantly want to wear those pieces and be transformed.
The silhouettes are simple, all be that of the transcending ruffle skirts, which almost makes you feel like you’re on a Spanish coast. An instant glance at the starch white with bright coloured embroidery on linen and the use of ribbons instantly draws you into a cultured inspired collection where traditional meets contemporary. Each piece epitomises the authentic cultures nestled in the roots of idyllic Islands and has me reaching for my passport.
