Costume National

Autumn-Winter 2014/15 – Costume National- probably another one of my favourites from this Fashion Week.

The line begins in white; simple, plain, classic and elegant with cream fur. It’s minimal, it’s statement and it’s concise.

Black appears; this collection has the monochrome illusion in the bag already.

Full length cuts in trousers and coats compliment the unlevel hemline in the mini skirts.

Pinstripes re-enter for the formal line, white on black and black on white; the contrast between them brings the masculinity in suit form and exchanges it into a female line; this adds shape and contours.

The splashes of colour are emitted when presented individually; roll neck oversized dresses being the statement side. A vibrant red polishes up the monochrome and a block purple brings the line together.

The running theme has a military edge surrounding it, the textures of the sophisticated suits are compromised due the fittings and cuts of the jackets.
