Autumn-Winter 2011/12 –  It was like someone had opened the saloon doors and released the cowboys; the models gallivanted down the catwalk to rocking music wearing distressed leather, battered jeans and gun holsters. Welcome, the Wild West. Dean and Dan Caten shook up the femininity that had been so strong in Milan, for a hardened girl in metallic boots and studded belts. Dramatic floor length fur coats paired with leather skinny trousers and denim (naturally) to create a hardened look – maybe one you would have found in the Wild West, or how the DSquared imagined it. Intricate detailing adorned leather jackets: puff sleeves, buttons, and ruffled hems emulated this. The dramatics continued with a maxi-length black leather skirt: it oozed sex-appeal with a large spilt up the front. It was paired with a denim jacket, brought in at the waist by a knotted belt and given a black fur collar. The western hats came over the models eyes creating a mystique exterior, whilst other accessories such as the leather gloves finalised many of the outfits.
