Rochas
Rochas Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – Something a little different for autumn winter 2016 was the approach of Rochas this season as light and airy designs sashayed down the catwalk.
Whilst coats did make an appearance, the decision to have them in muted colours, for example in marshmallow tones, highlighted a playful rather than practical approach to dressing.
Instead of focusing on wrapping up warm, the looks comprised of long and loose shirts and dresses in nudes, mustard, blues and greens, whilst floral prints, especially of daisies, more commonly seen in spring/summer, also made appearances.
In a collection which seemed keen to break the rules, there was an explosion of different textures and levels of formality- from daywear to eveningwear and as a result, the often flowing and layered designs in a mixture of sheer and velvet fabrics had a romantic, slightly undone vibe.
The finale piece was a particular highlight, with a long black sequined coat taking centre stage over a loose purple dress and teamed with long socks and daisy decorated heels. Again there was a sense that the combinations had occurred accidentally, jarring just enough to be the epitome of luxurious fun.
