Rag & Bone
Rag & Bone Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – David Neville and Marcus Wainwright re-visited familiar themes In the lasted Rag & Bone Autumn/Winter 2015 collection and New York fashion week. The mixture of sport and military over classic menswear tailoring was created with a 90’s twist with a vintage ‘hip-hop’ vibe. ‘It’s funny how everything that looked kind of cheesy comes back around and seems awesome’, said Wainwright before the show.
Though the the predominant hip-hop vibe seen with the puffer jackets seen vibrant colours used, the 90’s vibe was extended further with the fragile touch in layering of lace-touched slip dresses and expertly cut shiny nylon knee-length pencil skirts. Vinyl-coated Melton wool and oversized popped collars added to the slickness of the outerwear keeping the whole vibe urban chic.
The collection is a clear reflection of Wainwright and Neville’s youth, though a clear influence of their recent archive is also seen in the collection. The Rag & Bone continues a sleek style with retro influences but has not been seen before AW15.
