Paco Rabanne
Paco Rabanne Woman Autumn-Winter 2016 – A touch of sci-fi and military vibes abounded at Paco Rabanne where pieces could easily have been at home on the set of the new Star Wars film.
White tank tops often teamed with black pointed bras felt activity-ready in their simplicity and bottoms perfectly combined elements of the formal suit and combat trousers, with visible white seam stitching and belted elements adding to the militaristic feel of the pieces.
Another strappy top was tucked in at the front with billowing additional side details that echoed gun holsters as did a cut-out silk design complete with tiger depiction, further stressing the feminine strength of the collection.
Inspiration from the Space Age was also apparent, adding to the hybridity of the collection. Silky fabrics, complete with sparkly, chinese-inspired and daisy prints made an impact in a variety of dress styles, where halter-neck designs were popular with similar straps working as incorporated belt details too.
Sci-fi elements were key in finishing off many of the looks as well, with silver and white metallic calf-length boots echoing storm troopers or military personnel, adding toughness to more femininity looks.
