Lanvin Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Alber Elbaz’s use of colour, sequins, and satin for Lanvin SS16 made for a delightful presentation. Small satin bows were incorporated into every look, and models stomped down the catwalk in Mary Jane style shoes and sequinned courts.

However, his love for the kooky was demonstrated in some of the pieces: a dress split down the middle, one half black lace, the other nude with a black lace overlay; a dress with ragged fabric tassels swinging from it, creating an ‘undone’ look; art deco patterns in crazy colours imprinted onto dresses, blouses and skirts. Leopard print and gold leather was also given plenty of attention to. His maxi dresses were completed with a tassel flower corsage at the neck, and miniature gold box clutches emblazoned with the Lanvin logo were carried.
