Frank Sorbier

Frank Sorbier Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 – Sorbier showcased high-end sewing at this years Haute Couture SS15, excelling all expectations. Jet black, white, fire orange, pillar box red, burnt yellow, sea blue and purple were amongst the varied colour palette.

The collection showcased fitted midi dresses, capes with Victorian style necks and silk dresses printed with cells. As well as raw edge finishing and corset style tops.

Sorbier’s choice of design detail was unusual and quirky this season. Watercoloured drawings printed onto white ball gowns, added originality and stood out from the other Couture shows.

Multi coloured dresses with puffball hems and twirling tendrils of silk or chiffon made this year’s Sorbier collection. A floral ethereal theme was echoed throughout all of the looks and finished off with branch inspired headpieces.

Dipped hems, appliqué and layered structural skirts are three words to conclude Frank Sorbier’s collection. The delicacy and precision of the sewing instantly made this collection one of my favourite’s of 2015.
